More Than a Scoreline
Football clubs are remembered for their trophies, their rivalries and the players who wear their colors. They're also remembered for the stories they choose to tell.
October 2026 has been about both for Iron City FC. On the pitch, the club has had big wins, a heavy defeat and an eight-goal thriller. Off it, Iron City launched a matchday program series to document the journey as it happens. Along the way, a 15-year-old became part of club history.
Here is where things stand heading into Friday's rematch with Crafton FC.
The Form Guide
Iron City's last five results:
Iron City FC 6–1 AFG Boys — Win
Iron City FC 4–1 Bayern Spanish Team — Win
Iron City FC 3–1 Chino Hills FC — Win
Drita SC 7–3 Iron City FC — Loss
Iron City FC 4–4 Crafton FC — Draw
That's three wins, one draw and one loss. Iron City scored 20 goals across those five matches and conceded 14.
The wins over AFG Boys, Bayern Spanish Team and Chino Hills FC showed what this team can do when its execution and attacking play come together. The team conceded just three goals across those three games, and the attack never stopped asking questions.
The run also proves something important. Iron City scores goals. The team has found the net at least three times in every one of these five matches. The challenge now is to pair that attacking threat with the same defensive solidity it showed in the three wins.
The Matchday Program Is Born
On October 18, Iron City FC and Dead Air 412 released The Iron City Matchday Program — Edition 001. It was a full digital edition priced at $5, built for the Drita SC fixture and presented by Dead Air 412 Staff, LSF Yogi & The Honey Lounge.
The idea is simple. Give supporters something more meaningful than a score graphic, and create a record of the football being played. Edition 001 introduced the squad and the club's leadership. Valentino "Vale" Martinez Saldivar (#15) is the new captain and Iklas "Reggie" Davis Jr is vice-captain.
Issue 02 followed for the October 28 Crafton FC match. It was a $2 A4 print program for supporters at Riverview, while the game streamed live on XbotGo.
A club's history is usually written years after the fact. Iron City is writing its history while it's still unfolding, and every edition captures a moment in the club's growth. When people look back at these early years, they should find more than a list of scores. They should find the record of a journey.
October 24 — Drita SC 7–3 Iron City FC
Lt. J.C. Stone Field, North Park
After three straight wins, Iron City ran into a hard afternoon in North Park.
Iron City scored three. Drita scored seven. That's the record, and there's no benefit in disguising it.
The three goals showed that the attack still worked even on a difficult day. But conceding seven made clear that defensive organization, communication and transition play all need attention. When a match gets away from a team, the job is not only stopping the opposition. The team also has to restore its shape, composure and confidence. That's the lesson from Lt. J.C. Stone Field.
Iron City Starting XI (4-4-2):
Jorge (GK); Muyi, Yelsin, John, Reggie; Yousef, Vale, Mo, Alexis; Habib, Jordan.
Subs: Jeremy, Benjamin, Didi, Emre, Richard.
The defeat isn't hidden and it isn't minimized. It is one result for a team that had won its previous three, and it doesn't define what this group is.
October 28 — Iron City FC 4–4 Crafton FC
Riverview Turf Field, 8:30 PM
Four days later, Iron City answered back with goals.
The match against Crafton was open and scrappy, with eight goals on a Wednesday night under the lights. Hagar, Jordan, Alexi and Rich all scored. Captain Vale picked up the assist. The night also had its frustrations: an unlucky own goal, a yellow card for Jordan, and missed chances that could have won the game.
The draw stopped the bleeding after Drita, and four goals is a real response. But the lesson is the same one from the wins. Scoring goals and controlling a match are not the same thing. Iron City had the opportunities to leave with three points and didn't take them.
A 7–3 defeat demands an honest review, and so does a 4–4 draw. The standard can't depend on whether the scoreline feels better.
History Made at Fifteen
The Crafton match also produced one of the biggest individual moments in Iron City FC history.
Wesley "Wes" Johnson made his debut for the club at just 15 years old. He is now the youngest debutant Iron City has ever had.
His debut is a reminder that the club isn't measured only by its results. Iron City is building an environment where young players can earn chances and become part of something growing. For Wes, it's the start of a journey that training, consistency and experience will shape.
The 4–4 will be in the record books, and so will the debut. Both belong to the same night.
Season Goal Contributions
Captain Vale leads the club with 9 goal contributions: 5 goals and 4 assists. He has driven the attack all fall, and his assist against Crafton added to that tally.
Vice-captain Reggie Davis and Jordan are tied for second with 4 each. Jordan's goal at Riverview brought him level at 2 goals and 2 assists. Hagar has 2 goals after scoring again against Crafton. Alexi and Rich got on the scoresheet on Wednesday, Paul has a goal this season, and Habib has an assist.
Vale — 5 goals, 4 assists (9)
Reggie — 2 goals, 2 assists (4)
Jordan — 2 goals, 2 assists (4)
Hagar — 2 goals (2)
Alexi — 1 goal (1)
Rich — 1 goal (1)
Paul — 1 goal (1)
Habib — 1 assist (1)

Next Up: Crafton FC, Round Two
Friday, October 30, 2026
Iron City doesn't have to wait long for another shot at Crafton. The rematch comes just 48 hours after the 4–4.
The team already knows it can score against this opponent. Friday is about the next step: taking the chances that slipped away on Wednesday, staying organized for the full ninety minutes and turning attacking output into a win. The wins over AFG Boys, Bayern Spanish Team and Chino Hills FC show it's possible.
The wins show what's possible. The defeat shows what must improve. Crafton is next.
The Story Continues
Iron City Football Club is still building. Its history is being written through the results it earns, the mistakes it learns from, the chances it creates and the people who believe in its future.
Documenting the journey isn't about making every chapter look perfect. It's about making sure none of the important chapters disappear.
The scoreboard records what happened. The program preserves the story. The work decides what comes next.
Iron City Football Club. Street DNA. Warrior Energy.
From Wilkinsburg to Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh to the world.
