THE GAME ISN’T THE STORY. THE PEOPLE ARE.
On June 29, a soccer ball will roll across the turf at the Pitt Sports Dome.
But this isn’t just another tournament.
Behind every match is a family. Behind every goal is a community. Behind every donation is a statement that people thousands of miles away are not forgotten.
Lebanon solidarity organizers across Pittsburgh are bringing together players, supporters, and community members for a soccer fundraiser benefiting displaced families from South Lebanon and other communities facing destruction, displacement, and humanitarian hardship.
Sport has always been more than competition.
It has been a language that speaks across cultures when politics fail. It has been a gathering place when communities need healing. It has been a reminder that ordinary people can still take action when the world feels distant.
The tournament will serve as both a fundraiser and a solidarity gathering, creating a space where Pittsburgh’s diverse communities can stand together while raising support and awareness for those impacted.
Every donation matters.
Every supporter matters.
Every person who shows up matters.
For one night, football becomes a vehicle for humanity.
For one night, Pittsburgh stands with Lebanon.
Because solidarity is not a slogan.
It is something you do.
