Beyond Borders: Iron City Goes Beyond Borders
Beyond Borders: Iron City Goes Beyond Borders
πΊπΈ Pittsburgh β π¬π Ghana β πΉπ¬ Togo
Iron City was never built to stay in one place.
On August 8th in LomΓ©, Togo, Iron City Sporting Club β our Ghana side β stepped onto foreign soil and added another chapter to the story we are building across continents.
In an international friendly against DreamTeam Academy, the Ghana side battled to a hard-fought 0β1 victory.
But the result was only part of the story.
The moment that will live forever came when Amoasi Edwin Bottey found the back of the net.
Edwin became the first-ever Iron City Football & Sporting Club player to score outside Ghana and the United States.
One goal.
Three countries.
A moment that connected everything we are building.
From Pittsburgh to Ghana.
From Ghana to Togo.
From one football community to another.
This is what Iron City means when we say Beyond Borders.
Iron City FC in the United States. πΊπΈ
Iron City Sporting Club in Ghana. π¬π
Now making our mark in Togo. πΉπ¬
Different countries.
Different communities.
Same badge.
Same DNA.
One Iron City.
The Ghana side didnβt just travel to play a football match. They carried the identity of Iron City with them β the same street DNA, the same warrior energy, and the same belief that football can create pathways that reach far beyond where we started.
Edwinβs goal is now part of our history.
And this is only the beginning.
Congratulations to the entire Iron City Ghana side on an historic victory.
Congratulations, Edwin, on becoming the first Iron City player to score outside Ghana and America.
The badge travels.
The story grows.
