Iron City FC Announces Official Outdoor Training Grounds at Schenley Park

PITTSBURGH, PA — Iron City FC has officially announced Schenley Park Fields 2 and 3 as the club’s official outdoor training grounds beginning August 1, marking another significant milestone in the club’s continued growth.

The decision gives Iron City FC a consistent training base while strengthening its commitment to community football in Pittsburgh.

Outside of scheduled first-team training sessions, the club will open the fields for public pickup runs from 8:00 PM until 11:00 PM for a $5 participation fee.

Club officials say the initiative is designed to create a reliable place where local players can compete, meet one another, and continue growing the game in Pittsburgh.

“This isn’t just about finding somewhere to train,” the club stated. “It’s about building a football culture that belongs to the city.”

The announcement also represents another milestone toward Iron City FC’s long-term objective of developing a dedicated indoor training facility capable of serving the first team, future academy programs, and the wider football community throughout the year.

For a club still writing its story, establishing official training grounds represents another important foundation.

As the organization continues expanding both on and off the pitch, Schenley Park will now become part of the identity Iron City FC hopes to build for years to come.
